Businesses are not allowed to use the same name as other businesses.
The law also stipulates that before registering a business, the applicants should obtain a reservation approval for the “business name and business items” so it can be kept for a certain period of time and not be used by others.
Bank account: For current account transfer, the account name must be the same as the applicant, agent or legal entity of the case. (List of banks for online payment)
Chip debit card: For current account transfer, you need to prepare a card reader and chip debit card. (List of banks for online payment)
Credit card: For payment by credit card, the person who makes the payment must be the same as the applicant and agent of the case. (List of supporting card issuers and processing fees)
※The handling fee for a “Chip debit card” and “Bank account” is NT$15, and no receipt is provided for this handling fee.
Application by mail: NT$300 (payable by postal money order or postal cheque made out to “Business Registration Unit of the county or city government where the business is located”)
Over-the-counter application: NT$300 (payable on-site at the Business Registration Unit of the county or city government)
